Gallows is a former Queen of the Valley, and twin sister to Cade, who was a King of the Valley before her, with his Queen Lorelei. The twins were abandoned by their disinterested mother at a young age. Gallows wandered the Meadow until her brother was crowned, after which she joined him and helped to make the Valley prosperous again. She was rewarded with the title of Lady and given the throne when Cade passed on. Decades later, she returned and lived in the Valley under Demian's rule until she and Fennick were given the throne. She wandered off, probably bored with the whole thing once more, and fell out of contact with her two children, Kushiel and Namaah.
