Rile got adopted by nice lady and her son, and brought home to their herd and raised all happy-like. EVERYTHING is so right and happy. But he slowly started seeing little flashes of Nevi with him, little moments of what if. It got to the point where he just...he had to know what had happened. If his twin was still out there, if he'd survived and found a family, or if he'd languished in the den, or if he'd died, or what. So around the time Nevi STOPPED looking for Rile, Rile started looking for Nevi. Except they were so little then, and silver black is a remarkably common color in Beqanna. And also Nevi goes by Nevi now, and I think basically only Offy and Isle and Lee and Argo and maybe the rest of the siblings.
