She is entirely hairless, and covered with thick, slimy skin. Instead of a mane, she has a low fin running the length of her back and tail, and her tail is thin, pointed and flat. Her mouth appears to be normal when closed (though perhaps a little deformed), but reveals a circular hole full of circular rows of horny teeth when opened. Her mouth is too poorly formed for her to speak very well. She secretes an anti-coagulant in her saliva, to make it easier to feed, which she does by latching onto a prey animal and sucking its blood. She also has five small gill slits on either side of her neck (underneath the head), with which she can breathe underwater for short periods of time. She needs to keep her skin damp, and so cannot be away from water for extended periods of time.
