    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

The old that is strong does not wither - Aeolus

we've been running away from space and time
if we don't fit in the grand design
He cannot find any words to say as he stares still in his father’s eyes. All he could feel was his heart beating heavily in his chest. His mouth felt extremely dry as he contemplated what his father thought of him. Every single thought was completely negative. Aeolus had no idea what to think about his father’s reaction. He could only wait and see.

Never moving his gaze away from his father, he watches as his father swims closer to him. Along the way his father transforms into his own sea-serpent form. Aeolus is then facing a reflection of who he is, but his father is a beautiful golden color and quite larger than him. Without a thought, a boyish grin grows on his lips as he sees the proud gleam in his father’s eyes.

    He was not a monster!

His father was proud of him!

Aeolus laughs as his father propels around him in his sea serpent form. His golden gaze follows his father’s movement as he then moves towards the open sea. Rotating his position, the dark purple serpent swims after his father into the open ocean.

He cannot help but wonder where they are going.
then no one can ever confine us, and no one can ever define us
we're just trying to live where the wild things are
    Aeolus
