The black titan makes his way nearest to the bedrock quarry, membranous wings shifting loosely at his sweaty sides. He didn’t want to dawdle in the details of what was to come in the brewing war when the main focus would always be his bloodline – his bloodties. So when the time had come for the Nightwalker to join crowns with the other crowns of the allies, he wanted to be more than sure those most precious to him were secured so firmly that there was neither a quake nor a murmur of question in his heart while he was away on the business of war.
When he reaches the belly of the quarry where the columns of bedrock overreached each other and created a great space of shade – he calls for them to come. The great king’s sides shudder with effort as he calls, the ground of the quarry breaking apart as cacti with huge spines wove together to form a great dome with a single entrance-way easily sealed. It is here the children of his Deserts could gather when the war was at its highest point – or if, by any stretch of power, the enemy was able to reach the sands.
When he is done he makes another call – this time it is a dragon’s call and it is firm and unyielding. When all who come gather he says, finally, “war has come again to Beqanna. Anyone under two years should report to me here so that they may become familiar with the sanctuary.” His raven’s gaze travels from face to face, “there will be protection provided for you here while we are away even if you are of age and choose not to go to war.” He says, steadfast and definite, “but if you choose to stand beside Yael and I into battle, let it be known now.”
