Desire
Pangea has remained under her guidance for the past several years, and no one was more surprised by that than her. She was a fickle creature, with wants and desires that were largely unpredictable. It was impossible to tell what would keep her attention for long, and while she had never found Pangea especially beautiful or captivating, she had remained interested long enough to ensure that it stayed relatively safe.
But Desire has never been a woman of political ambition, and being the guardian of the red canyons had begun to lose its appeal. There was a restless feeling growing beneath her skin, a need for something, though she isn’t sure what.
She could have left it to someone specific, she knows. Jamie, Draco, or Darkling were all sensible candidates. But Desire has never been much for tradition, and so instead of appointing anyone to lead upon her departure she simply announces to all that the position is open to any that might want it, before disappearing along a red-dirt path that leads to anywhere but here.
