SUNLIGHT
She hadn’t meant to spy on him.
At least that’s what she’ll tell him if he asks. It’s so hard to ignore anyone when their thoughts are so delicious to begin with. Besides, she’s been bored lately (which is why she hadn’t returned home for some time now), and had been hoping something interesting would catch her fancy.
A sly grin pulls at the corners of her dark lips, her burning orange eyes set on the creature who has now captured her attention for the time being. It takes a lot to grasp her focus and though she is drawn to this stallion, she is sure she won’t feel the same adrenaline that normally flows through her with a certain other man she is thinking about.
Her curiosity gets the better of her, especially when his mind mentions something about fae. She snorts loudly at the word in disbelief while simultaneously alerting him to her presence just across the thin, shallow stream in which he gazes happily.
“You look stunning,” she muses out loud, though her words are mulled and thoughtless as if maybe she doesn’t exactly believe them herself. Sunlight continues to walk towards him until the white of her ankles are covered by the clear water, staring at his reflection a moment more before lifting her blazing eyes to him, the outline of gold and white framing her gaze with bold expression. “Do you always laugh like this when you finally get what you want?”
Her smile is charming and secretive, subtly alluding to the idea that his thoughts are not fully his own.
