Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura
There’s a quick moment of triumph when he feels the giant’s flesh beneath his teeth which evaporates the moment pain explodes behind his ears. Kreios has gotten a hold of the back of his neck and his “big mouth” theory has seemed to work to his advantage. It’s mostly his tangled mane that fits in his mouth but the painted stallion’s teeth find it’s mark on his neck with quite a grip and the pressure isn’t pleasant. He’s not sure what the overall damage will be, unable to get out of the Percheron’s reach. With a squeal of fury he responds as Kreios turns with him still in his grasp, raising him up with him as he goes. In response, his front limbs lash out angrily. Thanks to Kreios’s extra leverage, his hooves aim to strike at the front of one of his opponent’s forelimbs which he probably couldn’t reach before. If he is able to hit hard enough to fracture the radius that would be lucky indeed but it would have to be quite a blow. It’s more likely that he could bruise the cranial superficial pectoral muscle if his aim landed high which acts in conduction to how the front leg moves forward or the front of the brachial is muscle which helps flex the elbow joint. Hindering the other’s gait would definitely be a high point in this battle for him.
Of course Kreios could have dropped him the moment he started wiggling in his grasp like a caught fish and his flailing could scrape at the lower forelimb or bruise around the knee or even lower. Then again he could just miss completely but no matter what he connects or doesn’t connect with, he continues to try to fight his way out of the other’s grip (if he’s still in it at this point), feeling his teeth scrape against his flesh as he inches towards his freedom. Eventually the other will let him go in one way or another.
