The grass rustles around her pale chin as she plucks her way through the field. An image of pale bleached body with wine-red hair and dun markings at what draw the eye away from the awkward rustling.
Not long ago, Love had been scared to venture so far without the protective eye of her mother but as she grew, her body shedding her foal’s fuzzy coat and the lengthening her burgundy locks. A smile is ever presence of the girl’s features as she spreads her warmth before her. Birds sing their merry songs in tune with the beat of her gentle heart.
Some parts of the field are a bit boggy, causing the girl to stumble occasionally as she follows the deer path. The meadow could not be that far ahead! One good after the other, she gazes upward as a beautiful blue sky. ”Oh!” Her voice squeaks out as she stumbles over a rock this time and soon somersaults down a small embankment and straight into the field with all her legs in a jumble. Love lays there for a moment...breathing...her gentle upbringing has not taught her shame or embarrassment.
Slowly, one leg on from of the other, she draws herself upward. Ruby eyes are squinting at the sudden openness of the field! Fantastic! With a little yip of excitement, the girl bounds off to run with her her legs outstretched and a smile that could outshine the sun. It felt good to stretch and run. The sun beat warmly as the summer air lifted the edges of growing mane. Momma wouldn’t mine hopefully if she came back a little scraped and bruised from her tumble.
