    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

I believe I'd die if I only could

I sure feel strange, but it sure feels good

“Well well well,” One of his thoughts sounded like a shrill, rasping chuckle in Wolfbane’s head. It would seem that his deception in meeting @[Lepis] and sneaking into Loess was getting better by the second, and the bits of Bane’s persona that like to meddle and pull him in opposite directions are ravenous when it comes to his ex-wife and Castile’s plans for northern aggression. She makes the political moves out to be something of Castile’s design - and were Tipper of sound mind and body he might honestly believe this was top-tier information rolling downhill from the source itself but Wolfbane, the ex-husband in sheep’s clothing, thinks he knows better.

“I’ll take this as need-to-know information.” The unicorn stallion complies readily once Lepis has given the full set of instructions, feeling marginally excited and suspiciously eager to begin the task at hand. “Meaning only I should know about this.” Tipp implied, giving Lepis his best ‘can-do’ smile before his cleric might find any logical reason not to trust a relative stranger with such a heavy burden. “Let her think she’s keeping her pretty feathers clean, this time.” Another, much more gruff thought prodded Wolfbane right as he shuffled to make an exit.

It would be easier to blame an eager up-and-coming novice if the steal failed and reflected poorly on Loess, he soothed himself thinking. I’ll leave and literally not one horse will be the wiser about it. “Except for us.” The bodiless voices snickered in unison, and Tipper paused to glance back one final time toward the sandalwood-colored mare who stood waiting with the gusty wind behind her back. “Won’t let you down.” The horned equine sounded stupidly enthusiastic, “See you soon enough, Lady Lepis.” He winked, quick to disappear from view as he scrambled nimbly down and away from the high ledge where only hours ago he’d first arrived.
