    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

The question she asks is so outlandish that Terin never considers that she might be serious. "I'm not afraid of being a horse," he says with a bemused chuckle  "But I don't see any appeal at all." What about that tall, lanky shape could possibly be better than his dragon form? They are not especially flexible, their skin is so easily torn, and they are horrendous swimmers. None of those are things are at all desirable, and Terin is still shaking his scaled head as Aquaria backs up. Her apology is met with a still golden gaze, but it seems the blue dragon is content to put it behind them, and he perks up notably as she Inquires further about his Mother.

"I've never left Ischia." Terin tells her truthfully. "My mother says her ancestral home has been lost. My father says dry land is not worth seeing. " The young creature has never chafed against the borders of the world he knows. There is a world out there, he knows, but he does not think it can compare to home. Exploration is all well and good for the stories that come back, but Terin had never felt wanderlust himself.

Just like he knows he does not want to be a horse, he knows that he does not want to leave Ischia.

"But yeah, I guess she loves him a lot." It feels true as he says it. The three of are not together especially often, but on those rare occasions Terin often excuses himself early, not eager to witness their public displays of affection. He often wonders why he is the youngest of his siblings; it's not as if his parents aren't giving it every effort. Maybe next year, he tinks and realizes that he's been quiet for a moment too long.

"Do you have any siblings?" He blurts out. "I mean, other than Adria?"
