Five of them have braved the sea, the storm, and the trek back to the Mountain. It hasn’t been easy — nothing good ever is — and she is proud. They bring back the shells required for the Cure: fifteen in all, though only three are needed. The blue fairy looks over them, carefully examining each shell. At last, three shells are chosen, floating in front of the fairy, who wears a soft smile. “Thank you, all,” she says, gently, “your hard work does not go unnoticed.” She says nothing of the Cure. Yet.
