    Where was he?

He was so warm, tucked in his mothers belly, only to be dropped into the cruel world and quickly rushed to this den. Where did momma go? Why did she leave him here? He was so scared, he could hear the cries of others but he was to scared to move his fresh wobbly legs.

Help the words cried from his maw, was anyone around? Was he left here to die? He had so many questions, he could hear the others around him but his world was so fuzzy, he could not wrap his head around the reality that his life was. A crappy start to life, and he had no idea why.

The palomino roan had to small budding horns on the his dome, one day they would be long and strong, but they had a while to grow. Anyone he yells out again, a final attempt to meet with another, the weak colt lays close to the ground hoping to be found by a gentle soul.

Her visit to Tephra had been... insightful. And meaningful, like she used to be. Smiling to herself, she's happy that she had went out to find Magnus - their encounters in the field had her believe already that indeed, they would match in personality easily. To find Jude had been a delight also; but now she had remembered what it was like to be an Ambassador, and she remembers the other kingdoms she'll soon have to visit.

And the adoption den, of course. Like she used to.

She always visited at least once yearly - halfway through, or near the end of, spring. Making sure no children of late birth were left there, to spend their whole childhood with the fairies. Although Lullaby, a friend of Tähti's, had not gotten anything bad out of that, it still just didn't feel entirely right with Ilma. Some children might feel so unwanted - like Ember.

No, that wouldn't do. And so, she made her way in today as well. Sure enough, one tiny voice came to her, and when she found him, she couldn't help but grin to herself.

A palomino roan foal. Was it going to be just her thing to adopt cremello's and palomino's until she finally had some of her own? It seemed almost likely. Nearly a joke of the universe to keep Svedka away from her and instead bring her Leokadia (though only briefly) and now this colt.

A gentle soul is what she is, and this palomino-and-white boy was just the cutest. Perfect match, so to say. She makes her way over to him quickly, the sunlight wings folded neatly unto her back because she doesn't want to scare him with those. Her white nose brushes his silvery-golden sticky mane as she takes in his scent. "Do you have a name, little one?" she asks softly. Her face lifted a little to look him over - he was healthy, and he might get horns later she thinks, but right now he was pretty harmless.

He had just about given up on being reunited with another equine, and just as he closed his eyes accepting his fate, a voice of another rang through his ears. Do you have a name? The stranger strokes his mane, it was odd but he somehow knew that she meant no harm to him. He remembers mother, from the brief moments they shared, but she did not project such a gentle energy as this equine did.

He felt comfortable with her, and quickly lifted himself from the ground, F...Finch He quietly mumbles. The young boy blinks a few time before his gaze focuses on the mare, she was a pure white, unlike anything he had seen in his short life. She had these fluffy things on her back, he wondered what they were but his gaze quickly flicked back to the mares face are you momma? His question was innocent, he knows he was not his momma but she could be his new momma.

He does not allow her time to respond, he quickly moves closer to her nuzzling into her chest. He felt safe with her, and he only hopes that she will be his new momma. Together they can leave this.....den that his mother left him at. A brief memory he already wanted to forget so badly.

He might like meeting Clayton, she thinks; that boy is a gentle soul, and the palomino reminds her of him - and perhaps Kreed, too, but she's not sure how long Solace will keep her friend's daughter around (Ilma isn't sure why the queen had agreed to it, but it wasn't Ilma's job to question that).

The young colt seems to feel safe with her instantly - so much so that he already tries to stand (she's not quite sure how old he is, but he's not quite smooth with the movement), and buries himself into her small chest. She chuckles softly and realigns his forelock. "Finch," she repeats, that's a pretty name, "My name is Ilma. Yes, I am a momma, and if you want to, I'll be your momma too."

She looks into his eyes - blue and bright. She smiles. He might not be hers, he might not be her would-be-lover's, but she can easily pretend. Almost too easily, perhaps but, she couldn't quite care. His own mother would or could not raise him, well, then she would, instead. "Are you ready to travel, Finch?" she asks him. He looks healthy, but she's not sure how much he's slept yet, and it certainly wouldn't do to push him beyond his limits already.

His legs were wobbly, another foal at a few days old would be running and stumbling around, but his legs were still new as he was thrown into the den. As he buries into the white mare, he finds comfort and somehow he knows that everything is going to be alright.

A gentle laugh escaped her maw and she repeats his name, gently adjusting his forelock once more. My name is Ilma, Yes, I am a momma, and if you want, I'l be your momma too. His head lefts to find her gaze as a smile tugged from ear to ear, she wanted to be his momma?! He could not have had better luck, he could have ran into an equine with a sour soul, but instead he was blessed with this angelic creature.

He nods his head in response YES! He does not hesitate to respond, he prances around her, but looks more like a wobbly baby giraffe. Are you ready to travel, Finch? She asks, and again he does not hesitate to our home? Yes! I am ready momma! He could barely contain his excitement, and though he was exhausted and still scared he was ready to go home with his real momma.

Ilma If you wanna do a thread in hyaline/cove that would work Smile
