    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

Last time Sabe had stepped foot in Beqanna Chem had abandoned the herd and he left that dreary witch in charge. She was getting angered just thinking about the situation, how he could pick the young mare over Sabe who stood by his side faithfully since the beginning. He never returned and she decided to leave, there was no sisterhood in his herd.

She stepped foot in Beqanna again after all those years, this time it was completely different. How could she have missed so much? How was the land shifted, there was no longer kingdoms, but there was many new scents. It seemed that there were new kingdom like herds in this new Beqanna.

Beqanna was on her way in travels, instead of avoiding it she decided to see if any familiar faces still lingered in the dreadful place, the only one worth her while would be Chem. Does he still exist? Has he died yet from his foolish hot head. Still, she loved him, whether or not she admitted it, he drove her insane. They were perfect together, she did not ask him to remain faithful to just her, she just asked not to make her pretend to like the others. He understood her, he accepted her for the angry mare she was. The passionate love they made, the four foals they shared. Each off on there own, she wondered the forest in which they first met, the lands still seemed fairly normal compared to the rest of Beqanna.

She lingered hoping he would show up, but her hopes are better off in dreams, why would he be looking for Sabe.

My eyes deceive me..” The speckled stallion pulls from the shadows to come stand beside her amongst the trees. He’s hulking mass compared to his more slender little lover, the mother of four of his children. It has been so long since they last saw one another but he would never forget her coy stare, her guarded affection for him. He’s always been delighted by her games and you can call that missing her, if you wanted.

Sabé, my dear..” His lips touch along her cheek bone to settle under her chin, then moving to touch his lips to hers. He doesn’t feel the need to ask her where she has been or what she’s been doing, truth be told he doesn’t really care. He sucks in a deep breath of her smell, waiting to hear her voice.

Was this real life? She thinks of him, lingering for his affection and he appears? He has been gone for years and all of a sudden he is in front of her again? He talks but she did not respond, her heart beats fast, can he hear it? Why does he make her feel this way, surely she would not appear love stricken to him, he knows better. There game of cat and mouse always left the relationship lively, probably how they ended up with 4 children together

He touches her, it drives her wild but she stands still. He speaks her name and finally deciding she should respond. Chem her voice was rough, the anger was filling back in. Why did he leave them, the herd was abandoned, she was not done with him. Sabe shakes her body relaxing the tension that lingered. Chemdog was always a free spirit, she never truly had control over him, regardless the emotion she could gather from him.

She stepped towards him brushing her head across his shoulder blade, truly something out of the ordinary for Sabe. Perhaps as the years have passed and she has grown older she desires affection, But Chemdog is the only affection that could satisfy her. It has been some time, hasn't it? A small grin appeared on her face, quickly fading as she lifted her head from his shoulder, matching her gaze to his.
