    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

    #1

Upon his arrival in the kingdom, Rodrik had disappeared into the depths of darkness and since then has never been heard from. He did not make it appoint to become something of this kingdom that was never his. There was no loyalty he felt for the Valley except only found this kingdom to be nothing more than an annoying pest. It has always caused trouble since he stepped foot into the Chamber. Yet, he wondered what he must do next. What exactly was his purpose being thrown into the hands of the Valley? He has yet to know.

Rodrik may have a crown to his name, but he knows without a doubt that his time as a king had come to an end. The blood stallion had accepted such decision willingly and only saw it as a chance to become something more. The crown of the Chamber had merely been a stepping stone, a beginning to show his true potential. However, he wonders what is to come next from this. Rodrik is a patient individual though, he knows within time the answer will be revealed.

As months go by, it seems as if the once Blood King has disappeared into the very shadowy depths of hell itself. Rodrik has not been seen or heard from for years now. There is no trace of the red stallion left in the world. It simply seems that he had never existed and was nothing at all.

But he never left to begin with.

It crawls forward, slipping through the shadows of the night. The dark form moves with ease, muscle and bones working together as nature intended, as it treads forward with the scent of death trailing behind it. The devil peers through hooded eyes, dark and hollow, but there still remains a hint of those familiar nutmeg eyes. A hunger for blood fills his eyes, it is so strong, an instinct that cannot be resisted. Its eyes search across the scenery as the creature moves into the open-wide land. A repugnant smirks grows across his tattered lips as the screams and bloodshed flash before him.

    He is hungry.
