    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

    CURIOSITY KILLED THE CAT
    & SATISFACTION BROUGHT HIM BACK
Molotov leaves them to their conversation with a mischievous smirk and echoes of her thoughts in their heads. Dahmer is less than impressed with the way the black and red telepath had addressed her mother (if he had ever spoken to Desole that way...) but thankfully, she is swift to remove herself from the conversation and the black beast is able to turn his full attention back to Rhynne once more, his bright blue eyes kind as he pivots his winged frame to the north.

"Shall we?" he inquires of the two-toned mare and gives her a polite nod before he advances forth, leading the way to Tephra's border. Their leisurely pace is a luxury that few in Beqanna can afford, but thankfully for them, their home is the closest that anyone can find to the mingle lands and can be reached in a matter of a few hours. Conversation is sparse as they canter over the rolling earth and into Tephra, where the air is thicker and warmer, though not uncomfortable. Dahmer inhales deeply and his nostrils flutter in appreciation for the familiar scents of his home as he and Rhynne work their way through the verdant meadow at Tephra's border and slowly towards the volcano, where the foliage grows taller and more protective.

Dahmer ruffles his feathers against his sleek sides as they finally come to a halt near the tangled copse of trees he has been using as his own private domicile. Nearby, Tephra's creek collides with one of the smaller lava streams from the volcano, the plasma hissing with steam with each slow drip.

"Welcome to Tephra, Rhynne. I'm glad you decided to join us here," he pauses to turn his ocean blue eyes towards her, "This is where you can usually find me, if you happen to be looking." He gives the black and red mare a small smile and flutters his ears in her direction, clearing his throat tentatively. "Molotov seemed... interesting."

Rhynne followed Dahmer to Tephra. She sighed softly at the sight of the land. She was grateful that the stallion had found her. She said "Thank you Dahmer. Molotov and I don't have a very good relationship." Rhynne had been weak after the birth of her daughter and couldn't take care of her. Yes her daughter thought she was dead but she should have found her earlier than she had.

OOC:Sorry this is late and crappy.
