Of course, that’s on good days. On Kellyn’s bad days, she threatens to leave Cleary in Pangea alone, which is infinitely more terrifying than any member of her unknown family. Less than two seasons into her life, and the tiny filly has already realized that most of the residents of Pangea give her the creeps.
Every day, she is thankful that she was not born plain. Her wings give her the ability to slip away from her mother, making it to the Playground a little winded but without the dangers and time that come from land travel, and the other…well…she suspects the other talent is the only thing that has kept her at her mother’s side for this long already. Something about her hidden trait is special to Kellyn, and so naturally Cleary guards it carefully, as if slowly doling out new occurrences as if it is only slowly manifesting itself within her will make Kellyn love her for longer.
She can hear the voices of other children on the breeze, and so she walks forward with a confidence she does not feel, and waits to encounter someone.
