    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

She’s been thinking about this for some time.

The loss of of their spirit animals had been incredibly traumatic for her partner. Even now, years after the magic and even the kingdoms are long gone, Eira can still sense the empty hole in Weir’s heart. He tries to hide it, tries to keep a happy face on things, but Eira knows (in the way that only long loves can), that the loss still eats away at him.

But what can she do about it?

As powerful as she technically is, there’s nothing she can do. Manipulations of ice and snow will not bring Darwin back.

But, perhaps … perhaps there’s someone else in Beqanna who can.

She’s heard rumours of a magician in the woods … a new magician, or at least, not one of the usual ones (and she knows not to trust them). Chances are the magician is just like the rest, but she can’t help but hope …

She’s nervous as she enters the thick trees on edge of the forest, and she can’t help but hold her power close and at the ready (though she knows it won’t do much against magic). She has no idea what to expect, or even how to start looking for the magician. She’s only heard the rumours, she doesn’t even know where to begin. But, begin she does, nostrils flared and ears alert. Maybe, just maybe, she’ll get lucky …
