Jinju
The further she left the safe line of trees behind her, the more hesitant her steps become. Both the Taiga and the forest had welcomed her home, eased her like they had always done before, but the meadow, among other places, crushed her newly found self-assurance. Jinju didn’t exactly understand how it was different from the lands outside of Beqanna, she had been just as ‘bare’ there as she was here now. So what made it so different?
The inky black girl forced herself to not glance backwards, to just keep going on ahead, to enjoy the lush field that stretched out in front of her. Yes, spring had finally come. Not that the cold had bothered her much, her own fire was enough to keep her warm, even during the coldest nights, and she always had Reagan, Ruan and all the other members of their growing family to shelter with. However, that didn’t mean that Jinju didn’t welcome the spring. Who wouldn’t? The grass was once again fresh and green, and really tasty after their though winter diet. Flowers, birds, butterflies, all everywhere around her, coloring the world once again now the black and white world of the snow was gone.
Slowly her steps grew bolder again, the further she leaves the trees behind her. It isn’t long before Jinju is trotting, two legs moving in sync with every step she makes. With a toss of her head the girl whinnies, voicing out her spring enthusiasm before she playfully kicks her rear in the sky, not caring if she was alone in this little game or not. After all, the spring fever had just kicked in.
