    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

    and when she laughs; Offspring

    Maribel

Everything had changed as Maribel had knew it. Her home is no more and she had thankfully found her mate, Romek. In the brief moments of the new Beqanna, Maribel had also given died in the midst of childbirth but her love for her daughters had brought her back. In turn, in the grip of death's fist, Mari had seen her father, her mother. She was a child again but then...then something had shaken her out of the death dream.

She was propelled through the throngs of purgatory, catapulted back into the world of the living. Wolves had penetrated her senses despite her death. Devil dogs drove her back to the land of the living, to save her children, save her family. And now, bearing a cloak of white and gold, the mare walks among the living once again.

The mare steps tentatively at the edge of the meadow, the gold of her lips dipping to brush the frosted ground to scent. Blue eyes look outward in a moment's pause before two fillies come bursting out from behind her in an array of giggles. A whirl of blue and then yellow with black blends as the two girls tear after one another, little nips and tugs as they speed passed their mother. Maribel can not help but smile as the twins and their innocent, brightens Beqanna's currently bleak stance. "Arete...Alivia...be careful, little loves!" Her voice is high as limbs move the now slender woman after them, joining their fun with little nudges to encourage their play.

And when she laughs you'll always take notice.
'Cause her heart's charm will shine right through it all.

mmk not great but a start Smile
