    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

    Rhaelle

Rhae could never stay in one place for too long, but she had grow more willing to find a more permanent home. She was attempting to garner a place with the Amazons, but for now she was content to have a day out and about in Beqanna. She'd made her way to the meadow and it wasn't long till she was racing through the open spaces, bucking and crow hopping like a newborn foal. It was a beautiful day and she felt light and free. Breeding season was approaching but Rhaelle would hve none of it. She'd had a foal in the past but she was in no mood to raise more offspring. Parenting was an arduous task in Rhaelle's opinion, not that she didn't love the foals she'd had but it did not draw her in. Being alone put a different spin on parenting, it was tougher, more time consuming and left little open to adventure. Her own childhood had been unorthodox as she'd been raised by mother and aunt. It'd been a wonderful time in her life, but strange in comparison to her peers. Now that she was grown Rhaelle kept to her oddness, liking her solidarity because in truth she could be a bit of an oddball and most others did not appreciate her for her. As she was stopping at a stream which ran through a meadow, she sipped greedily at the crystalline liquid, spent from her exertions. She was prepared to step in and roll about herself when a sounds caught her ears and her head shot up as it turned towards the sounds. "Hello?" she called unsure.
