    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

In a few more months she’ll need to choose. Though she has grown up as a child of the Falls, her father had always made it clear that a true home is the home that ones chooses for themselves. He had chosen the Falls - as had her mother - but Raene doesn’t have to, not if she doesn’t want to. Perhaps Kreios’ advice was born of knowledge of their family, of their wandering hooves, fickle hearts, and eternal grudges. He does not want the same for Raene, and so he has given her the chance to pick her own fate.

Unfortunately Raene knows no place but the Falls and the Field (and the path between), She knows no one but her family and her kingdom mates and the wildlife in the forests around the waterfall. How can she decide what she wants if she only knows one of the options?

She wants the answer to that question, so the two-year-old filly comes to the Meadow. Her grey eyes are bright and curious, and the soft yellow shade of her sleek pelt matches her cheery mood. Raene has only ever known kindness, so the smiles that she offers to the strangers she passes are warm and genuine. She finally settles beside a chattering creek, watching the little bits of ice melted away by the unseasonably warm sunshine.

    Analiese

The ebony filly was officially a year old and her mother now allowed her to venture out through Beqanna on her own. It was of the most exciting news she has gotten, she visited the playground once but it was a short lived visit and she has been itching to leave the Golden Plains. The filly barely left the Golden Plains but when she did, she visited the Dale, such a lovely Kingdom she had no desires to leave like her older sister did.

The young filly raced to the meadow, she had been cooped up all winter and now that its spring she just wanted to stretch her legs out. She moved as fast as her body would allow, playfully throwing her head up into the air and allowing a whinny to part her lips. Her large wings were spread out catching the breeze of wind that blew past. She slid to a halt, snorting as she caught her breath she gazed the meadow for an equine that was not already in conversation. There was only a couple options but a beautiful black appaloosa caught her attention. She was young like Analiese and she grew curious to the young mare.

Hello! My name is Analiese what is yours? she asked as she approached the mare, she probably should have given a whinny in greeting but she was so excited she did not waste on time. A large smiled was curled on her lips excited to be talking to someone outside the Dale.
