She has lost herself these last few months.
No one had come for her, and she wonders if anyone had even noticed her absence on the god forsaken rock. She wonders if anyone cared at all.
It is her, and Maugrim, and the daily rape and torture he bestows on her. She’s kept alive solely for the purpose of giving the clown her child, and she is aware of this. And she knows as spring grows nearer she will finally become Maugrim’s prey...once and for all.
It is strange, knowing when your death is coming. Most do not know; it is simply a shock to the person and those around them, an inevitability. But hers is not an inevitability...no, she could have plenty more years before she dies. But the clown wanted to make a statement, and she was that statement. Starve her, beat her, abuse her, then take her child. For what? To show the other kingdoms who’s boss? It seemed pointless.
Time goes in slow motion for her in the darkness of the cave. As it drags she silently wishes she would just die, that he baby would just die, so that they wouldn’t have to endure the aftermath. But Mortem’s instructions were clear, and although it angered him, Maugrim had followed. Loyalty is such a strange, fickle thing.
The contractions start like they had years before with the twins. Sharp, unbearable cramps that make her wince and groan in displeasure. Sweat drips along her neck...they were early. Of course they were; malnutrition and abuse could do that.
(The clown is there in the shadows, watching it unfold...)
An hour passes, and soon she is pushing. She feels the child slip easily out of her, and as she had with Krom and Karat, and tries to clean him. “Kaname...” She coos at the child. He’s gorgeous, by all accounts - her russet coat and Duro’s silver spots. It is a fleeting moment of happiness for her, and then the pain starts again.
a shock to all who watches, she feels another child push its way from her womb. He’s more...aggressive, as if he’s fighting to get out. Krone lets out a horrible, agonized scream (The clown laughs), until the child rips himself from the womb. Hazel eyes flash to Morty, begging to let her live. There’s two, how would they survive without her?
The clown grins wickedly at her, then directs his gaze to Maugrim. “Finish her.” The last thing she is able to see is Mortem taking the children away, wobbly legs still unsure of the terrain. The last thing she hears is a name, directed to her second and last child.
“Kreep, my boy, we’re going to do such great things...”
@[Maugrim] a little early, but I figured it would make sense that they’d be premature. Do what you will <3
