Death. Grim, wide and gaping. A chasm that couldn't be filled. Could one say they were alive when they did not feel it? Could they be alive when they did not live? Existing in a world where one was constantly mimicking behavior they had witnessed from those around them was not truly life. His dust and charcoal form was unwavering in the moonlight that dripped down from the sky, the only light that reflected from his dark eyes. He was not much of an insomniac, but some nights he stood watching. He knew not what he watched for or why it was so important to maintain vigilance. She was gone and he was far away from the last place he had seen her. It wasn't exactly that he cared. He found it hard to feel anything. The beast within batted it eyes, yawning in boredom at the turmoil that wrought his frame. Could he actually be in turmoil if he did not care? Why did it bother him that she had left the forest? Hadn't he told her he didn't care. Hadn't he begrudgingly given her a temporary leave to stay? It wasn't as if he'd grown used to her insufferable company.
Yet, once he had grown used to her presence he had not allowed her to leave. Without chains, she had still been captive. Without claim, she had still been his. Damn that creature. Damn her vulnerable nature that had stirred the beast into a complete disregard for what sense it made in his iron clad will for keeping her there. Damn her for the jealousy that stirred in the pit of his stomach. Not jealousy over another. He knew why she had left. He had tied her down. He had forced her to endure his demanding and commanding presence day in and day out. When others called, he had feigned some semblance of civility. At night, however, when just the two were left in his wooded abode? She belonged to the beast. Though one might think he referred to himself in such a way, it was simple fact that the beast and he were separate and yet the same. The beast slunk behind a curtain always waiting for his guard to drop. Always, it was prepared to devour and consume. With Suli, however, it was different. It consumed in a different way. It drank in her light like a leech with blood. It demanded things that Pernicies had never conceived possible. Why should he care if she never came back? Why should he care if she ever cared for him? It had never taunted him before. He had never lain awake in the dead of night, staring up at the moon in the hopes that she eyed the same one before. Why now did the notion of her leaving consume him with such raw anger?
His skull jerked upward, his jaw suddenly clenching as that old bestial sound rumbled from deep with his chest. His muscles tensed and he found himself turning sideways to face the woods he'd come from. Nostrils flared, soaking in the scents that wafted from the treeline. The beast lifted its head, eyes finally opening with some interest as it stretched in an almost feline manner. It waited, as he did, on baited breath. There was nothing in those woods. He was on edge. That was why he was staring into the empty void of darkness before him. Inky locks twitched at his hind quarters and finally he snapped his teeth audibly. "Leave." A simple would. It brooked no argument. It spoke in the way his voice curled softly, almost sickeningly quiet, from his throat and past his lips. It was not growled. It was not yelled. It simply floated out as though a whisper to a child. Yet, within that single word lay a world of threat and damnation. It almost crackled in the air around him.
It seemed that even worlds apart, she haunted him. He spoke to ghosts. He spoke to nothing. He thrived on anger. He lived for the sake of cursing her name in almost every breath. He couldn't stand the thought of her. He couldn't stand not thinking of her. It was eternal damnation he had bargained for. It had started in the woods. Why then could it not end in them? Why did she have to remain a phantom? Elusive and yet so real in his minds eyes, that when he cursed her in his mind, he felt she could hear it? The twinge of regret that came with that thought was otherworldly to him. Even now she was causing him to develop instances of feeling that almost seemed real. How could a creature such as him feel anything when he'd never known feeling before? Regret, anger, hope, sadness. They had always been a foreign concept to him. Until her.

Alone and loneliness; two distinct feelings melting into a pot of anxiety the likes of which hadn't brushed the mare's hide in months. Familiar and aching in her bones day in and day out, every step potentially taking her farther from the brief sense of familiarity and home she only recently grew accustomed to. Craving it, missing it. The shape, the smell, the feeling. Once that luxury is found it is difficult to shed, its absence leaving in its wake a jittery, desperate thing who knows not how to escape its embrace. Home is not a place. Rather, it is an idea that clings to the ashen figure who kept her secure from all this loneliness. Alone is hardly reality she wishes to face again.
The earth is bright under her hooves, the mulch soft and squishy. Or maybe she merely thinks its squishy in fear the ground might swallow her whole. She felt as if she might be, for what other fate was there for those who wander lost for so long? His brief interruption into that existence hardly makes her immune to the fate of those who go missing, never to be seen or heard from again, and Suli very much feels as if she could scream out her lungs yet not be heard by a soul.
Her head swings up toward the trees, inadvertent teeth gnawing a twig from a branch that grows too low to escape lost creatures like her. A tiny snap! and it relents to her insistence. There she chews, spitting the contents once the bitter taste bleeds into her tongue, only to repeat the process a while later. The moon is high in the sky by the time trees give way to grassland. She halts, wide eyes scanning, teeth mulling absently at a spindly branch which drags across the ground. She steps forward, nostrils flaring as they had been the entirety of these past many days. If she could merely catch a thread of home then perhaps she could reel herself in.
There. As if abruptly cast in ice she freezes, afraid to miss where the scent is coming from, before her body aligns itself with the direction of the wind. And then it's gone, the breeze shifting out of focus from where she is. It's as if her eyes go with it and all at once Suli feels as if she might be shrinking under the weight of a noiseless night. Ears swiveling she spins. One way, then the other, pausing to look out across the sea of grass until suddenly she finds herself galloping in the first direction her gaze takes her. Up a hill, then down, then over another. If she runs fast enough maybe she can leave the aloneness behind. She doesn't know - she's never tried the technique before.
Only at the crest of a third dome does she skitter to a halt, hooves slicing chunks of dirt this way and that but she pays no mind to the dust clinging to frantic legs when her consciousness of the situation slams to the forefront of an equally frantic mind. A shape looms along the forest edge, dark yet not so dark under the moonlight that she cannot make it out. Speckled in all manner of ashen greys and blacks that send her heart all aflutter in equal measure panic as relief. She just barely catches the word.
"Leave".
Leave? The shadow isn't looking at her, yet her eyes swarm over her surroundings like she's been put on the spot. Her skull dips slightly, hardly cognizant of the spindly branch still hanging from her mouth until it drops, the wind carrying it only partway down the slight incline. It does not reach him but her attention pins on his figure as if he might disappear in the puff of smoke he resembles.

The sound of frantic hooves clambering over the earthen floor nearby stirs the beast. He draws his lanky form upward and clutches at the tattered edges of Pernicies mind. In an instant he could snap and send Pernicies hurdling up the hill and headlong into some poor and unsuspecting fool. Perniecies is all too aware of just how little control and retain he can maintain. Lately it seemed as if the visions he saw in the darkness were making the beat harder to control. He wanted movement. He needed to fill the aching void with aggression. It was a precarious balance between sanity and mindless degradation. Dark eyes remained locked on the dark shadows of the bushes, despite the oncoming and most certainly unwelcoming company quickly approaching from the hill.
A scent wafts down from above and for a moment he was almost mistaken. His mind twisted his reality with titillating essence of scent. He shifted, his body weary of the memories. Something rolled down the hill behind him, sounding much like the barest whisper of a small branch in the breeze. The beast flexed it's claws as he drew his skull upward and swung it to peer the hill. His body twisted, muscles tense with the need to chase away the demons that were not a part of his usual mental disturbances. The demons that damn mare had left behind. As if he needed anymore battling for power with the rest. Dark eyes caught a form and for a moment he was completely still. The beast withdrew, whether from shock or humorous disbelief he could not tell. In the pale moonlight was a vision. It was made of tanned hide and dark stained limbs. It was shaped from soft curves and slender limbs. It was most surreal vision of a heaven he would never believe in. It was also a cruel joke played on him by the creature that now lay silent in his mind, as though waiting to see if he would fall once more for such juvenile tricks.
A single growl was emitted from deep within his chest, guttural and bestial. His muscles coiled and tightened where his limb dragged up in a slow chaotic dance beneath him. He threw himself forward, his frame lurching up the hill as he barred his teeth. It was a wolfish growl that left him, as he dragged his heavy frame upward and toward that spectral form that taunted him so. He breached the top and threw himself toward the form, sliding to a grinding halt when his chest brushed skin. The vision did not blue or disappear. He felt heat. He felt fur. He dragged himself back a step, black eyes staring down at the slimmer form with shock. It was not her. It could not be. He snorted, his muscles tense beneath his dust covered pelt. "You." Was all that past his lips before the beast reared up, suddenly angry at his recognition of her. It gripped the edges of his mind and tore against the bars that trapped it. He fought for control, uncertain just what was going on. Visibly he warred with himself, his muscles tensing as his eyes roved over her form hungry for the sight of her. Drinking in the smell of her, he pulled himself together and shoved the beast down beneath. For a moment he would have sanity.
He was against her before even he knew what was going on. His neck snaked around her own, his skull reaching toward to own frail and tilted visage. His nostrils touched her own and he shook. He battled over the emotion gathering within his check. What the hell was this feeling? Why was he so affected by seeing her again? He could chain her to his side and he would not have found regret. So why should he be so moved by this female before him? This slender thing he feared might break if he didn't handle her with care. How did one handle something with care when they simply did not know what caring was? "Suli?" He questioned, concerned by the sick feeling in the pit of his stomach. Somehow despite being physically stronger, he felt as if he might crack under the weight of whatever it was that had inched into his mind to stir the beat to such a frenzy.
Pernicies I hate it but I still want you.

The shape is moving. It seems at first distorted to her, like he really could be made of smoke, those tendrils reaching up and up, there to play tricks on a mind so exhausted by them. Tricks that made her go left instead of right, up instead of down, tempted her away from the safety of where she was supposed to be. Her sense of direction has always been lacking, and that's perhaps why she stayed in that meadow for so long when he first came barreling into her life. Why she refused to leave in fear of what lay beyond it and where her hooves might wander. And now standing here Suli does not trust her own mind until that shape is hurdling up the hill.
Much akin to that first night she remains planted where she is, slender legs of stone, until that last moment when he gets there sooner than expected. In that heartbeat she skips back, although not soon enough to entirely avoid a body halfway slamming into her own. She stumbles a beat then rights herself, seeming more distant and disoriented to the events than hurt by them. You. Of course it's her. Suli blinks away the surprise coloring her vision, about to say something yet silenced by the conflict warring viciously across his features. It's not the first time she's seen that look; the one that seems as if it could rip him in two and both halves come out entirely different souls. That wouldn't be right though. Not real. She wants him complete. How he is.
"Pernicies-" she pipes just before he's suddenly against her. She does not flinch, a pillar against the shuddering that trebles between them. A strong neck snakes around her own, muzzle brushing hers, enveloping her in an embrace of warmth and breath. Suli presses her side against the muscles of his frame as if the instinct to be afraid of this dangerous force of nature has fled her entirely. It doesn't matter that he could easily rip someone in two when the only safety in the world is right here, and if he would have chained her to him she would have gone willingly. Home. It's finally found her again.
Swallowing thickly, the mare remains silent for a long while, tuned into the tension wracking his frame and the palpable chaos tormenting his skull. Only after many minutes does she finally speak up again. Eyes go a bit wide as they sweep around the moonlit landscape she hardly recognizes. On whim a step carries her a centimeter off as if she doesn't even know she's moving at all. "I got lost," she confesses, trying to remember the day their paths parted until only loneliness threatened to consume her. She'd much rather this beast consume her than that dreaded sensation of lost returning. "There was a raven..." It had flown and she had followed, and when her eyes found the earth again she was far, far away. Remembering this Suli shuffles back a margin, seeking out the anchor of the warmth that is his ashen hide.

The feel of her pelt against his own was unusually welcome. The beast recoiled, pacing within the confines of the even smaller space Pernicies had chased it to. For a moment all was well in the world and he was perhaps just another beast like the many others he so easily avoided. Her voice broke the silence and his form stiffened. His name on her breath was both intense and disturbing. Anger slipped beneath the surface of his skin and twisted his muscles into ridged masses along his bones. Memories of a long and fruitless search for this mare skittered across his minds eye. The beast lifted its lips to show pointed teeth and a muscle in Pernecies jaw twitched and then stiffened. His breath was sucked in through graying nostrils and he shifted against her, agitation predominant to any other sensation. She pulled away to speak and the beast seized hold. The black pits of his eyes somehow went darker. His jaw was clenched and the heat of his ongoing mental conflict set way to flames within his mine.
Lost. Following a bird. The beast chuckled, as if laughing at Perncecies for being so naive to the ways of females. He growled as his upper lip curled away from his teeth. He felt the desire to strangle her for her own damnable naivety bubble up like boiling water. When she moved back to touch him, he flenched and snatched himself away. So hot was his anger that he dragged himself away from her. Whether it was for her own protection or his mental relief, he wasn't certain. The beast shook the bars and urged him make recompense. The silence dragged heavy in the air, as if it might just suffocated both of them. He found himself unable to look at her for a moment, sick with the sensation of violent need that coursed through his veins. She knew how she toyed with him. So naive to the ways of mares, that he had thought to keep her in that forest and she simply wandered off to get lost without intent?
"Eridan." He spat, when his voice finally came back. It had been the black stallion that had wanted her so bad. What if the black beast had found her on her escapade? Without Pernecies there would have been no one to keep his illustrious desires at bay. Why the fuck could she not have stayed where he put her? Why the hell had he wanted her to stay? He didn't care for the company of others. He didn't feel or give a damn about their well beings. The whole damn world could go to shit and he would have been obligingly ignorant and careless of it. This creature; this slender stick of a female, was putting a dent in it. The beast paced, eyes watching the mare hungrily as Pernicies debated internally. There was a part of him that could kill her now and walk away. He wouldn't give a damn. There was another part that wanted things he couldn't understand from her. Things he had never wanted or needed before. There was a part of him that could watch her draw a final breath without flinching and another part that would die with her. Angry at his own indecisive mind, he lashed out.
"Why the fuck couldn't you just stay where I left you, Suli?" He growled, moving toward her with coiled muscles as though a predator preparing to pounce. "Do you think I'm to be toyed with?" He muttered as he settled to a spot where his heat radiated against her own, scents mixing together in a heady array of too close and not close enough. Violence thrummed beneath the surface and it was strange how easily the beast took over, as if Pernicies was simply letting go of the wheel and stepping back. He moved again, nudging his chest against her own in a repressing manner. "Do you think doing as you please will get you anywhere in a world where I still exist? You became mine when you came to those woods." He muttered as he sucked in her scent. It seemed so strange and yet, familiar again. He shifted, offering a sideways glance as he drew along her side. His body pressed firmly against her own, muscles hard and ridged with barely leashed aggression. "If he fucked you, I'll kill you both." It was purred in a voice that was not quite his own. His eyes peered lifelessly at her, before he dropped his head along her side and shoved his muzzle beneath her belly. His nostrils brushed her sensitive flesh and he drank in her scent, searching for the scent of that beast who had caught her unaware in the forest. Dragging his head back up, he stepped back. Satisfied with his quest, his lip curled and he spoke a voice so cold it might have frozen his heart. "Answer me."
Pernicies I hate it but I still want you.

Ice is what she receives in her search for warmth. Agitation bleeds palpably through the contact eventually stolen into a chuckle. Immediately Suli knows it is not one of honest mirth. No, it's a deep, rumbling sound of something much darker and it strikes her that she has never heard any semblance of a laugh from him before. Swiftly it devolves into a growl reverberating in the space he puts between them. Flashing teeth, black eyes that should terrify her while instead reeling her pondering of what chips his mind to so many jagged pieces. As if afraid to be cut by them, Suli does not pursue his partial retreat, standing so firmly where she is that a hurricane couldn't dream to knock her over.
But he could.
She knows he could if he wanted to.
Just as every one of his kind want something. "Eridan." The name takes her a moment to decipher, like some secret code for something she can't quite understand at first until a lightbulb flickers on in her skull and she remembers who that is. All she sees is a looming shape in the face of a name; a shape that condemns her even in its absence and in her ears she thinks she can hear laughter booming from that one's black hide, like it's all a sick game to confuse the life out of her. Because she is baffled, clear in the way she stumbles over how to answer Pernicies and his own shadow.
Great, sharp hooves stomp toward her unwavering frame, as if she is making up for not having stayed where he told her to before. In the meadow - her meadow - she stayed even when he demanded she leave. Incensed, she dares pin those ears and snort out frustrations that threaten to make her tremble. "Because you left! Why did you leave?" She dares counter his questions with her own, for surely that is the answer to it all. If he'd stop binding and cutting chains in nonsensical manner, if home just stayed where it should instead of crashing in and out like a roiling tide. But gods, if she didn't want to follow the violence of those crashing waves, sink into its waters, become one with it.
He - the beast, the tide, Pernicies, home - forces her back a step with equal measure control over her physical resolve as her emotional. If he only realized he was the one toying. But he is right, of course, and she doesn't argue with his claim that ropes them together forever. Yet his other accusation flares up that tiny stubborn streak seizing her spine. Another step back, unable to counter the duress of his body. "No!" She insists upon the blatant threat. "Last I saw of him was that day!" Not since the black stallion's game of lunging for her rump, sending her in circles of protests until Pernicies showed, a shield for her to skitter behind. To hide. She wants to hide right now. How long had it been? Suli doesn't know, blinking away the pondering thought to focus on the furious brute she should be worried about.
He does not seem to believe. He intrudes upon her, her insides dazzling in equal measure fear as wonderment as disorientation over what he's searching for. A hind hoof raises a margin, as if she's not quite sure what to do with herself in the moment, before stomping safely back to the earth again. Kicking him doesn't even cross her mind, the entirety of her body too rigid to lash out, fear ultimately subduing. "Nobody," she acquiesces to his demand for more answers, earnest, honest, pleading because she believes the threat with every fiber. "Nobody has touched me. I swear it on my life." Surely he knows how desperately she clings to that, even when all she wants to do is follow in Death's wake.

**[MATURE CONTENT ACCIDENTALLY HAPPENED KINDA]**
She snorted and the beast trembled with barely sheathed rage. She pinned her ears and the beast growled heavily from Pernicies chest, incensed by the very notion of her reacting to him without fear. Oh, he could smell the fear. It bled out in her scent that carried toward him every notion and ounce of fear that wracked her frame. The beast was somehow heartened by it, though Pernicies found no such amusement. He didn't give a damn whether he was usually inclined to find amusement in the fear of others. Her fear pissed him off to a degree in which he wasn't certain anything ever had. Was it because he disliked the idea of instilling dear into this little speck of a mare? Or was it that beast found more amusement in it than Pernicies cared for it to? Nevermind the reason. He twitched, stepping forward on surefooted hooves to leer at her, dark eyes clutching her form as if there was a mental chain pinning her to some unseen post so he might flay her skin from her bones.
"So little faith in your keeper." Her verily spat, his jaw clenched with insipid frustration. Did she think after all the hell she'd put him through, that he would have simply wandered off without dragging her with him? Did she think he lay claim on things so very often that any of his possessions were very easily left to the wayside? "What is mine is mine. I do not share. I do not abandon. I do not pretend to be the most caring. In fact, I find it hard to care at all. But what of my actions failed to show you that you are different? Did you see a clutch of mares kept around for my amusement?" He tossed his head toward the woods beyond the hill and found himself pacing around her smaller form. "I did not leave you. I would not." There was something laced within those words. Some small hint that some deeper sentiment lay tucked away like a speck of dust not wiped away. Far be it for him to ever admit that it existed. He probably didn't even realize it himself. It was hardly in his character to feel anything, much less admit to it.
"The scent testifies to that." He spoke, hard-lipped and annoyed by the fact that he hadn't scented anything on her but the wind and the woods. It bothered him that she was untouched. It would have bothered him had she been touched. There really was no way for her to win. The beast did not like the idea of a celibate mare that hung around Pernicies, as though she held some deep fondness for him. Pernicies, however, did not like the idea of anyone else touching her. She belonged to him. Why the hell he wanted her so badly, he didn't know. His mind simply couldn't fathom the mere notion of some other beast relieving his masculine urges within her delicate body. He himself was not interested in such base desires, but he damn well didn't want others to do such things with her. He found himself at war once more. One day, he knew, one of them would give in. Either the beast would chase her off or he would fail his on sensibility and do something quite asinine with her. Gnashing his teeth and find it hard to watch her watching him, he turned his back to her.
"What the hell do you want from me, Suli?" He offered, quiet tones almost defeated and yet full of some ferocious disgust for that fact that it was he who wanted something from her. What the fuck was he doing? He was chaining her and pushing her away all at once. His usually stable and quick-witted mind would typically have found an answer to the questions plaguing his mind. "Why the hell can't I let you go?" He growled, turning on her suddenly as his form crossed the distance and peered down at her through desperately confused eyes that mirrored the unquestionable disarray of his mind. "Why don't you want to go? Are you a fucking masochist? Or do you enjoy tearing apart the threads that are hardly holding my mind together? Is it a game to you? A sport? You want to see what it takes to unravel my sanity and push me over some threshold that most certainly protects the world and yourself from me? Shall I show you what lays beyond the veil?" He offered, a smirk tilting to his lips as something in his eyes seemed to speak worlds of the pleasure that lay beyond the veil for him and the pain that lay beyond for her. It was not something that he would ever suggest on a sane day. Today was not one of those days. Today was the perfect kind of day to lay his mark on her flawless carapace. There would never be any doubt who she belonged to after that.
"You're naive of what you're doing, aren't you? I am jealous of the idea of anyone else being with you, yet I do not care. I could flay someone alive and diminish every ounce of their self-esteem for looking at you with lust, yet I do not look at you that way myself. I do not feel for you, Suli. I do not love you. But I cannot let you go." It was offered on a shaky breath, entirely different from his words before. There was something in him that wanted to. Something that wanted to feel some normalcy and say the words that he'd never been able to feel before. But would it be lying if he said he didn't know what he was feeling? It was only a speck of sensation, but it was a the only speck of light that lit the dark recesses of his soul. It was like a speck of heaven in hell. She stood inside the locked chamber and he knew if he let her she would open the door and would be damned. But would it be so bad for himself love something good when he was anything but?
Pernicies I hate it but I still want you.
@[Suli]
Air balloons in her lungs as if she is prepared to snort out her own frustrations again, nostrils trembling with the inclination to do just that. And she does, although it sounds more akin to a huff than anything. He's pacing all around her now, seething out the rage like everything she has said and done has filled him with that vicious feeling threatening to split him in two. If Suli were more prone to acting on her own flecks of anger she might have snapped her teeth for confusing her with every uttered word. By nature she is a gentle creature, and so instead those wide eyes track his every movement as if he might disappear in a puff of smoke manifested of his fury.
He's wrong. She entrusts more faith into him than she has anyone since the day the world came swirling back to her. The day she lifted her head off a stone splattered with her own blood, wondering who she was, where she was. Suli does not argue this point, blinded by all his others as her gaze follows his to the woods. "No," a mumbled admission - no clutch of mares parroted around for his amusement. Only her; alone without him. Maybe his reassurances - if they can be classified as - should calm her. Far from the fact, however, as from the tips of hooves to the flick of a tail and ears she hardly feels eased at all. It's not his intention and although she might feel foolish sometimes she knows she is not. She is not fooled by this. It's hard to be fooled when one is uncertain to what is going on at all.
At first he turns his back on her and an overwhelming sense of rejection flares up in contradiction to his prior insistence that he wouldn't ever abandon her. What does she want? She just wants to follow him. Everywhere. To the ends of the earth. Her mouth opens as if to confess this only to clamp with the clatter of teeth a moment later, bombarded and overpowered by this concoction of questions and accusations. Facing her, facing away, turning on her again to pin her to the spot with dark eyes. Slightly she dares to lean back, head tucked as if trying to shrink herself into a shell like a little turtle. Anew the earth feels squishy under her hooves and she wishes only to sink through the ground.
"I know what's beyond that veil," she dares. Not his - glimpses of it as witnessed - but that of the stallion that laid claim to her long before him. The one who sired the foal she would never know, left the mismatched scarring on her withers, his memory driving her to isolation in her little meadow until Pernicies somehow dragged her out of it without chains. She went willingly only when she knew it would be together, not alone. Show me your worst. Except she anchors her tongue to the roof of her mouth and strangles the words as she watches the hinges of his mind sway furiously.
"Naive? Yes, entirely. I don't know what you want. I don't care about any notions of some feigned love." Her heart seems to sing with it, wavering as it is, not diminished by the absence of its reflection from him. A shaky breathe rustles past her ears as they flick back flushed to her neck. Another heave, fear trembling her own breathes like she isn't sure if she's lucky or not to be left standing, breathing. Yet Suli finds the capacity to move once more, legs urged by frustrations, anxiety, all jittery in confusion from the mismatched patchwork of everything he just said to her. Hooves skirt her this way and that in fidgety pacing, tail swishing haunches and hocks, ears still anchored until quite abruptly she turns on him and snorts again. "Just stop acting like every time you leave my sight you are abandoning me for good. It scares me!". To be alone, afraid of its permanence, its perpetual theme in her life. "Whatever is behind your veil, whether I'm a fucking masochist or not, if you flay someone for looking at me, I don't care. I want you near!" The rare curse peels out of her mouth in reiteration of his own words. Hooves plant where she stands as if aspirations to be an unmovable force seize her veins once again.
She stares him down.
