They must look like a couple of oddballs, walking together through brush and snow. A very tiny mare and a burro. Oh, but Smidgen is so excited to have made a new friend! And she's never been one to worry over appearances. The day is growing colder as they travel into the wood of the Forest, small snowflakes beginning to fall once more to add to the blanket it creates on the world around them. Thankfully, the trees are large and close together here, so once they make it further in, it is notably warmer and less snowy. Winter is really her least favorite season; bringing the cold and the snow and the mud. Ugh, and the fuzz! Smidgen, being the tiny one, and being a bit chunky, looks like just a big ol fuzzball when her winter coat grows fully in. She is grateful for its warmth, of course, it's just that there's so much of it and come spring, is so hard to shed off! Takes a long time. Oh well, though! For now her coat and the constant motion is keeping her from shivering, and this is a good thing.
She looks over at her companion with a friendly smile. "I'm glad you're coming with me, Baylen. Can't wait to show you around." As always her voice is feminine and soft, carrying a musical quality. Her blue eyes search his face from under her silvery white forelock, wanting to know more about him, but unsure how to ask without seeming too nosy. She glances around then, scanning through the trees and brush. There are horses here and there, but not yet a sign of a small palomino filly. She hums softly before saying again, more thinking aloud. "I hope Seirath finds Alayaya soon. Poor guy seemed so worried." She wonders if the girl even realizes he is searching, and fretting over her. Wonders again where all they should search themselves. "How cool would it be if we found her?" She says this with more enthusiasm, her face beaming as she looks to the donkey flanking her again. "If we could be the ones to reunite them?" She giggles lightly, excited by the concept. Bounding forward, she leads the way through the trees, knowing these woods like the back of her.. well, hoof. Her eyes keep scanning, for even the slightest hint of the pale gold that was described to them.
