    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

Ethaethe wandered into the forest, much like a mother looking for a lost child. In fact, that's what she was doing. Looking for the son she had lost long ago. Rebelious Child.

She cringed at his name, wishing she had given him a better one. But that was then. Before she fought with that paler chestnut stallion, before she had birthed tripplets. Before she died.

With her coming back, she had to find him. Restore a relationship long lost.

Thae had to hope she wasn't too late.

(ooc: please post after I post Rebelious Child. Thankies! Smile)

He wove between trees, eyeing movement up ahead in the forest. Rebe looked at his mother. He shook his head, but she remained. Now, he could take his revenge.

"Get! Out!" he shouted, running at her.

If she was smart, she'd move. If not, oh well. Suit yourself.

    "Out!"

Thae turned her head, her eyes lovingly looking at her son. "Child. I'm so sorry." she said apologizing. She felt anguished to see what he had in plan. As he lept onto her back, she turned her head the other way. Realizing she had indeed been too late.

Now, he was hurting her, harming her. Rejecting her like she had done so many years ago.
He had matured, grown into the child he was. She let a few tears fall, choking a sob. "It dosen't have to be this way." she told him.
