    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

What the truth is, I can't say anymore

He’d been … ignoring the problem since it had first crept its way across the borders of his once beloved home. When he says ignoring, he means avoiding. And when he says problem, he means Lestrade. So the only solution had been to give the young stallion a nudge and then hit any other place but the Chamber. Lupei had a good run, really. He got to explore the forgotten corners of the other kingdoms, and along the way he got to leave his “personal” fingerprint on more than a few lucky ladies. But, some form of guilt (or indigestion) twists his gut and sooner rather than later he finds himself back at the edge of his home.

The Chamber has remained unchanged. His nostrils flare, and he breathes her in deeply. Lestrade was waiting within, and that concept no longer terrified him, so he figures he better not keep the boy, er, his son waiting. Any idiot could make the connection when they saw the two sporting the same mint green coat. It irked him that the kid would come here, and he figured that by now he might be gone anyways, so he slides into the kingdom and weaves through the trees in search of him or someone who might know where he was.

He thinks about making the switch; really it’d be easier to find the boy with his wolf nose, but then again he had no idea what he was sniffing for. He hadn’t really gotten a good smell off of him the first time around, much less gotten a good look at the colt. So he wanders, knowing that if he hasn’t found that speckled son of his by nightfall, he could give up the search.
