    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

The doe mare wished to help in any way she could.  Though those way may be limited due to her unfamiliarity with this world she was more than willing to at least try.

Before she has a chance to offer anything more Oaks begins a sort of transformation.  Awestruck she watches with her large doe eyes as Quetzalli speaks of magics.  "No I... I've never seen such a thing.  Where I come from, I was probably the closest thing to an anomaly," she says as she thinks of her homeland herds.  They had no magics, unless herbal remedies were considered magic.

Oak's aura begins to brighten just the slightest as he says he will be fine.  And she believed him.  Healing that involved no elixir, no salve of any sort, it only could be magic from her wildest of dreams.  It begs the question from her mouth, "How does one get magic?"  Was it something they were born with, acquired over time or just happened?  She had to know, if for no other reason than what to be on the lookout for.
