    In sweat, blood, tears;
    Life is disastrous.
     
    Pillars thrust into
    Soft earth tilling
    Dirt ever so gently.
     
    Exhaustion was
    Slowly creeping
    Crawling, enveloping
    The speckled maiden.
     
    Her heart was
    Racing- Sinking-
    Odd how it can
    Have both sensations
    At once.
     
    She had been
    Running for
    Far too long.
    The trees,
    Brush, weeds,
    Were dense here.
     
    She felt safe yet
    Helpless at the
    Same time.
     
    Her legs gave
    Beneath her
    The weight now
    Crushing.
