    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

She blinks, emerging from under the craggy hills of the cove. Three years of age, this would be her first day of full maturity. It had been been a great deal of work and training that she had put in. Listening to everything her father would say to her. Ever hungering for that hot sweet touch of his. She could still clearly remember the first day that she had stepped into this land, the silver sand glistening under the sun. Bleached white, the blanket spraying out behind her with every powerful stride she took. Her hooves kicking up all the loose grains eating away the ground till it is nothing but a teary blur whipping away from her.

She had just finished sharpening her horn, having finally started figuring out its uses. Spiraling from her head the black mane dripping in her eyes. The wispy strands having finally grown out after the last time that the stallion had burned them from her neck. As much as she reveled in his affections, she couldn't fully love him either. He took her pride, took her dignity, stole everything that made her, her.

But in place of that she found his warmth, his correction, his desire to form her into a better creature then she had been. Her body still held the scars, still patches of hair and flesh were burned away leaving his signature all over her body.

She forcefully steps into the ocean, forelegs sinking into the crisp water. Before the swirlingi suction pulls at them withdrawing from her coiling into itself. Almost in fear of her. That was where she could find her pride, things feared her, feared what her father had created. He had taught her well. Still continued to teach her. It had been almost 6 months since the last time she had talked back to the stallion.

She hoped that he would show himself to her today. Maybe instruct her more in what it was that she needed to do. After all, he seemed to know best about everything.
