    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

    Gale
    run away with me--
    lost souls and reverie

    running wild and running free

The pinto mare does not seem especially disturbed by his arrival, which Gale is grateful for. The world is not always a safe place, but that is no reason to live in perpetual fear. The mare, who has not yet introduced herself, emanates gentleness in a way that puts the brindle stallion immediately at ease. It reminds him of something he cannot quite put a name too.

Enjoyable for certain, and when she tells him that she is indeed in search of a home, Gale is intrigued by the prospect of having her at the Island Resort. The place can be a little lonely at times, especially since Ruinam and Divest had left. Eyas is good enough company, of course, but sometimes a horse wants to socialize with someone other than their twin sister.

“It’s a beautiful morning,” he agrees. “Better than the rain back home, too.” He says this lightly, having turned to look out over the rest of the Field, where a handful of other horses graze and chatter.

“I’d trade a few thunderstorms for never having to deal with snow though,” Gale continues. “My home is tropical, if a little quiet. What are you looking for in a place to call home?”
