    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

All that is gold does not glitter; not all who wander are lost
Driven out by Loessians. That’s what it feels like. First, there’s Noah’s obvious surprise at his staying like he promised, and without further challenges, also as promised, then there was the addition of the Loessian King’s little sister, whispering about how he might not be trusted (bugs have ears too, thankfully), as if Noah would be foolish to even listen to him. Now another diplomat visiting. She might have no bad intentions, but certainly it was a reminder that they were sworn to Loess and no other. They just started to get under his skin.

He flies away quickly on a sunny morning, soaring through the sky as if in a hurry. His eagle form takes him through Beqanna rather quickly, and the meadow where he goes to is a welcome sight for sore eyes.

He lands in a tree, spotting spare horses left and right until he settled on a peculiarly brown one. It’s not that she stands out - not at all - but perhaps that is what drew his eye to her in the moment? After all, so many horses around - himself included - have some sort of rare coat or a fancy coloured addition.

He shifts, lazily buzzing nearby her to investigate. She seems tired of the late-summer sun, and for that he can’t quite blame her. Nope, she seems perfectly normal. A little small even, perhaps, but he can’t be quite sure because she’s laying down. He buzzes away to the next flower, pollinating a few more, a bit farther away - it certainly can’t hurt to help nature a little bit while he’s in this form - before shifting into horse form. Shaking his body and taking a few steps to get back into it, he suddenly notices that he was perhaps too close to her still.

She notices as well. Do you mind? I’m trying to nap here. ”Oops, sorry ma’am.” He shows her a quick apologetic grin, sidestepping a bit to give her some space.

Emerald orbs observe her on the ground, making him wonder if she’ll go back to her nap or come up to greet him. He’ll soon know to move on or stay and talk a little, he supposes.
