    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

[private]  Welcome to the rest of your life; birthing
    #1

Felicitey had expected many things from her life, but being with child so soon had not been one of them. She herself had had an absent mother, she had no idea how to do this or what was to be expected from her now. There were very few times she wished her mother had been around  it ashe felt the pain of contractions start this was one of those moments. She had enough sense to find a comfortable place to labor, thank god for motherly instincts. She had bedded down in a small clearing edged by giant trees littered with soft new grass and still damp needles that would poke and probe her tender stretched skin.

Between the contractions and the natural way her body responded and pushed through she searched for Aries vision wondering if he just simply knew that the time was now and would find her. She was sure the uncontrollable screams that escaped her lips with the pain would be an obvious beacon for him.

The labor had been quick dispite this being her first. The pale blonde and white boy had made his appearance first, eyes bright and ready for the world. Felicitey's heart brimmed with love, deeper than anything she had felt before, an odd feeling for the buckskin pegasus. She quickly set to cleaning him off appreciating the feeling of his soft newborn skin and the smell of freshness that lingered on his body.

Her eyes opened wide in surprise as she felt contractions start again. Was something wrong? Her babe was already here. Was she dying? The pale boy curled tightly against his mother as another labor began. It was quick, as the small chocolate and white girl slipped into existance. Her eyes fell halfway, blinking in the world around her, they were soft and tender.

The girl was smaller than the boy, delicate and dainty. She was a perfect contrast to her brother. It took Felicitey a moment of staring at the girl with surprised expression, she had not seen this coming. Despite the surprise of not one but two goals, Felicitey smiled warmly at her daughter as she moved to clean the little girl off.

It did not take long for the boy to find his feet and move to his mothers belly to fill his stomach. The girl seemed content to lay folded up taking in her surroundings. Felicitey's instincts took over and helped her to her feet, wobbly in her attempts.
