    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

The old that is strong does not wither - Aeolus
    #8
we've been running away from space and time
if we don't fit in the grand design
Aeolus finds his father’s grin comforting. It was somewhat of a relief to see that his father was feeling entirely at ease with the situation. Undoubtedly more than Aeolus was feeling right now!

Gulping loudly, the purple sunset colored yearling nods his head at his father’s words. “Okay,” he mages to say. He clearly felt like he was out of his mind right now.

The yearling watches his father leap into the water, quickly transforming into a large white shark. Aeolus meets the gaze of his father with a sharp teeth grin that looks too silly on something like a white shark. He cannot help but grin wide at seeing it now.

Alright here I go!” He says with more ease. What possible could not wrong? Aeolus thinks as he takes a could more steps forward into the water, scales appearing more where the water wets his purple sunset coat.

    1, 2, 3... He counts silently.

Aeolus leaps forward into the deeper water. Disappearing below the water, he instantly feels his body begin to shift. His mind instinctively tells him stop, but Aeolus keeps telling himself no. There was no need for him to be ashamed of what he really was.

There was nothing wrong with being a predator—even Celina accepted she was one!

His legs disappear, morphing into a serpentine shape that resembles a snake, and expands to almost 8 feet in length. A small mane hangs from his neck. Scales cover him entirely, some of them are darker in areas, almost appearing purplish black coloring. His teeth feel much sharper, he licks them, feeling how much pointer they are.

Without a second thought, Aeolus pushes through the surface of the water to meet his father. Meeting his father’s gaze, the newly transform sea serpent doesn’t say anything. Would his father think of him as a monster too?
then no one can ever confine us, and no one can ever define us
we're just trying to live where the wild things are
