    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

And she is rather certain her mother is occupied with other activities. Svana is nearly a year and a half and does not require much watching as she explores Loess on her own. Uncle Castile and Uncle Bron are usually seen together discussing the ins and outs of the wooded land. Svana passed her time playfully squealing her young girl giggles as she runs under and around her Grandpa Lior. Grandma Nayl would snuggle her close and smooth her gold and blue hair before giving her a playful nip on her black rump and send her off in a jumble of lanky legs and leathery wings.

A charmed child charmed, Svana is blessed by the kelpie gifts of glittering beauty, underwater breathing and the ability to dive deep into the waters and shift to that of a finned form of black and gold. She is the apple of her mother's eye...that is why she was brought to Loess when Isobell had told her it was time for her to meet the dragons of her blood (the very ones that contributed to the dragon wings upon her small spine).

Svana lazes by the water's edge with one of her small wings extended, drawing in the sand. They were not strong enough yet to carry her but they were growing every day. Uncle Castile had promised to show her how to fly once she was bigger (and mother allowed). Winter was chilly but the sun warmed her small frame quite enough to be comfortable and the rhythmic sound of the water was a pretty lullaby. Nearby, a cornflower reaches desperately between a few rocks, and Svana can not resist to press her nose to the velvet petals for a little sniff. There was not much to gain except some pollen on her lips and the hue of the very same blue from where she had youched the bloom...such an interesting gift to have inherited from somewhere in her bloodlines.
