    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

Let me fly and follow my dreams; Llowell

The palomino, marked with her white dots in the Owl constellation’s shape, does not yet know how true her mother’s naming her turned out to be. But she likes the name, if it’s any consolation. So, when Llowell agrees, she gives a happy smile. This one freezes in place when he asks about mother. ”Not so well. She was queen of the Cove for a while, but war broke out someplace and there was tension all over the place. I guess she’s happier now, but I don’t know for sure. I haven’t seen her for a while now.” She’d always thought that she was a burden, though in retrospect she knows that so many other things were more heavy than she and her illness.

She looks her brother up and down. ”Where have you travelled to? So far, I usually stick with the forest and the river.” she tells him. She’s pretty certain that he must have seen more of the world,

@[Llowell] sorry for being so late Smile
