Her warm orange-gold eyes pierce across the surface of the water around her. The water is wild for a moment, but slowly begins to settle down after her manipulation. She is cautious in these few moments.
It is not any day like this that the water feels foreign to her. Something feels unnatural to her. As if something new lingers just around the corner.
In the corner of her eye, she catches sight of something shimmering. Her gaze naturally moves with ease. Every movement of hers is with grace and beauty—the natural traits her nereid species are gifted with.
Eva naturally catches the metallic golden carp, finding two emerald orbs staring back at her. It could not be missed seeing such a sight. It was not an everyday occurrence that a fish stared back at you. Eva knew no fish naturally did.
There was something more to this.
The purple nereid treads closer to the metallic golden carp. She keeps her gaze still on the carp, drawn to the bright emeralds that peer at her equally. A soft smile grows slowly across her lips the closer she moves to the carp. It is a curious smile, but beautiful and unique to only her.
“Hello, little fish,” Her voice rings with warmth, almost like a song. “Are you lost?” She asks with a soft laugh at the end. Her eyes are warm and bright now, as she settles a short distance from the golden carp.
