    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

He is content in the quiet moments, lulled to a sleepy state of bliss amidst the chorus of the evenings crickets. The sweet smell of summer grass and night time dew is soon interjected upon by another scent, one he does not recognize though this does not surprise him. Ears pricked he turns his smokey gaze to meet hers and offers her a soft smile as he listens to her greeting, returning the dip of her head with one of his own. Heda, he commits it to memory as she requests a name from him. ”Its been so long since I’ve last had company I’ve almost forgotten it.” he offers with a soft chuckle. Indeed it seems years since last he was near another, his gypsy’s soul and wanderlust always seeming to outweigh his natural desire for equine interaction. I’m Uconn, it’s a pleasure to make your aquantance.” he offers, studying her.

What brings you out tonight? he probes amicably, naturally curious about the woman before him. He himself has been brought by a whim, nothing more, nothing less. The Meadow had always been a favorite of his in the summer time. Come winter he’d look for warmer lodging, but for now this was perfect.
