So definition of dragon mimicry (will add to the database soon):
User can use the abilities of a dragon, including: having dragon scales, dragon wings, sharp teeth, claws, dragon vision, and firebreathing. Character may have up to 3 characteristics. If there is a fitting characteristic not listed, feel free to contact an owner or officer.
You can definitely shift from having claws to hooves, etc. it’d be really hard to walk with claws. If you pick something like scales though that would probably be all the time. But it’s sort of open to your interpretation on exactly what shifts/doesn’t.
