    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

But the earth refused to die; Nerine horses
    #2
The return to the field was like reliving a day dream. Every step she took seemed sluggish and dazed, her movements seemingly wanting to mirror the same path she had taken just over a year ago.  The only difference was the roaming eyes flickering across the plain with newfound interest.  Today she was doing the seeking,  not being sought out.  It was Scorch who had mentioned that the spotted mare could a hold a conversation well enough--perhaps she should see what she could do.

There is a bright call across the way and immediately the leopard mare's attention turns  towards it.  Without so much as anxious hesitation, Breckin approaches the mare quietly but with enough carrying sound that the other would know of her coming.  Stopping just shy of what would be an uncomfortable distance, she assesses the other woman in quiet regard, appreciating her boldness to call out so readily.

"Hello there. My name is Breckin and I hail from Nerine.  I heard your call and came to offer assistance. Is there anything in particular you would like to know about the Sisterhood?"
