Her opinion of him mattered very little. Beqanna was a large place and there were more interesting people to occupy his thoughts and time. There was no point in wasting more daylight on her than he’d already had. The distraction had been entertaining while it lasted, but he desired to be out of Taiga while he still had daylight on his side.
The dropping of the temperature hinted that night would soon be upon them and the threatening of the season’s change was upon them. As always, he wasn’t sure where he was going – he just was.
As her voice attacked the inside of his head he rolled his eyes, his pace never faltering. Her last word, however deserved a reaction. With one final glance over his shoulder, a cocky grin plastered onto his face, he left her with his final goodbye. No, love, yours just wouldn’t be worth it.
And with that, he disappeared into the forest.
