Son of a Red Eyed Ghost
As his singular sillouhette christens his homeland once again, he breathes a heavied sigh of relief. The trip to Tephra had been easier than he anticipated. His conversation with locals faired well but all things must return to normal and he was grateful for it. He'd seek the company of the rulers in time to inform them on any news they may wish to here. First things first though. He must find his red flower.
Silver limbs moved him gently across the rolling plains. The breeze whipped his silver locks into a frenzy that no amount of grooming could tame. His lengthy tail danced along his hocks with each stride. As his body travels so does his thoughts. Back to the day he had met her. It had been late winter then and she had been eyeing him from her cave. A smile creases his lips then as he thinks of the way she had joked about his thick mane. Reality hits him in that same moment as he also thinks of how she changed after what happened. Her mannerisms becoming more reserved, more cautious...more withdrawn. His heart is heavied in that moment at his failure as a protector to her. He vowed to never let anything happen to her, or the girls, again.
Crystalline eyes find the familiar landscape of the cavern come into view. He whickers a greeting into the crisp fall air. The glowing sun, just beginning it's decent for the day. With fall came chilly evenings and he was happy to be home once again...
