>Her personality is infectious, he is always surprised by it. She had brought so much light to his usually dull life, and it makes him feel something he hadn't received much of.
Happiness.
He chuckles at her excitement - it's actually quite adorable. She is nearly bouncing out of her skin at the thought of having a child, and he feels just as enthusiastic. Except...another emotion clouds his mind, and he tries to hide it with a smile.
He is scared. Unequivocally, irrevocably, terrified. This would be his first biological child, and he figured most people feel those first-time-father jitters, but his stems from something different.
He had loved Kaiode with every fiber of himself. He poured minutes, hours, days trying to protect him, invested all his time and love into his adopted son. But in just a moment, he was ripped away from him, his spirit floating to the wind. As hard as he had tried, he couldn't save him. How did he expect to protect his newborn, let alone Aurora?
He sighs. His heart was so full of love, but still harbored so much anxiety. He doubts himself - his abilities as a father and a lover.
He then notices that he is staring off into space, and his attention shoots back to AuroraElis.
"If he's anything like you, I'm sure he'll be perfect," He murmurs, maw tracing the line of her neck up to her ear. "Or her. I'd be happy with either." He lets out a soft laugh, nuzzling her affectionately.
