Everything was changing so quickly. The seasons passed before their eyes. Days seemed like mere minutes. It was hard to wrap her mind around how she came to be here. Never imagining that finding him that one day would change their lives forever.
Rou was never far. Not more than a call away even when he went to do rounds on the border. When he was engrossed in his kingdom duties she often roamed the fields. Striking up chit chat with other residents. Grazing on the vegetation that grew on the volcanic islands. Occupying herself until he returned. Today was much the same as any other day. Bathing her carmel hide in sunlight, she was drifting into a light sleep when she felt a movement in the confines of her barrel. Navy eyes opened wide in shock. Twisting her nape to extend her muzzle to her side. Cream laced lips brushed along her midsection as she lifted her wing high on to her back. She had noticed her sudden weight gain but passed it over as just 'nervous eating'. Though it was completely probable that she could be carrying their child. Smiling happily, she turns her head to release a high pitched call to Rou.
