if there's a light at the end, it's just the sun in your eyes
Winter has spoiled the sparse grasses near Hyaline's mountain peaks, so as much as the gilded stallion would like to remain sulking in solitude, he must head for the inner sanctum of his home once more. The trek is familiar (he knows all of Hyaline better than he knows himself), and so he is able to navigate the pathways down to the center of Hyaline with unseeing eyes. He is lost in thought, much like he has been for the last month or so, and a small frown has worked its way onto the stallion's gaunt face as an indication of the direction his thoughts have gone ─ each day, he finds more and more to worry about.
He peels his thin frame away from the treeline and moves slowly towards his favorite wisteria, who has stood day and night without him for some time now. It feels good to nestle again beneath its branches, though they are without flowering buds for the season, and gaze out over his crystalline lake again.
Amet sighs contentedly and takes a moment to appreciate the view and forget his worries. He has much to be happy about ─ his plans for Solace, his friendships with Offspring, Circinae, and Jah-Lilah, his home. The AKhal-Teke stallion wills these thoughts to overtake all of the negative he has been feeling as of late and truly relaxes for the first time since Ciri's departure.
When Keeper appears from the treeline, Amet calls to her almost immediately. He had not seen the dunskin lady in some time and he wonders if it has seemed as though he was neglecting her. "Keeper," he says warmly as his long legs carry him into the sunlight, where his scales seem unusually dull beneath the sunlight, "It's been far too long since I caught up with you. How have you been? Are you enjoying Hyaline?"
