    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

    Hello Smile

My newest little character, Nyxa, has 'water wings' which, first off: I love, but second off: am having trouble envisioning.

Water has to play by lots of rules to hold shape/texture, but for the sake of arguments case I'm going to assume that "anything is possible with magic". For my own sake, however, I'd like to stick to realism as much as I possibly can - so I want to check and make sure that it's alright that I play Nyxa's wings as dragonfly-shaped.

Rather than have two entirely feathered wings composed of hundreds of water feathers, it just seems to make more sense to me that they would be spherically-shaped, smaller sections of stretched water to induce some surface tension, which would help the wings to solidify when pushed against the force of gravity or whenever she's using air to help her gain lift.

Of course, other rules of nature apply here: She won't be able to fly in mid-winter (her wings will ice over), they'd be super delicate, etc.

idk, am I making any sense or just thinking too much about it? Thanks for humoring me  Tongue
