    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

GAME OVER [Any who dare play]
    #9
    Jinju
Oh yes, she had always been her parents’ little girl. One of them was a magician that had learned her how to wield her fire and the other had taught her the way of the wolf. However, she is inexperienced, and even though she wouldn’t like to admit it, it wavers her slightly that he does not back off. Jinju’s ruby eye take his in, slightly narrowed as she struggles. ”Do you?” she asks after a pause. ”It can sting.” Jinju doesn’t give him time to heed her warning, forcing the flames in between their bodies. Her ears are pressed against her skull as she bares her teeth and pushes forward to take a nip out of his shoulder.

He retracts, though she isn’t sure if it was because of her assault. His motivation could very well be something entirely else. It is not far enough, or that is what she tries to express. This stranger had walked into her home, their forest, and thought he would be free to play a game on his terms? No. She would not stand in for that. Even  if a small part was curious to see how the play would continue. So Jinju allows him to walk around her, for now, her neck slightly bend to follow his movements closely. Her tail flicks through the air the moment he’s still behind her, her ruby eye on his almost as if she was telling him ‘is this all you got?’ The words have her grimacing. ”My fire has got nothing to do with this” she answers, avoiding the true question that lied hidden in his words.

And perhaps that was for the better too. Their game was no longer between the two of them. She no longer was a filly. Yes, she had been a girl when she had first met Aten, an even though she had yet to become a woman, Jinju surely wasn’t a girl anymore. On top of that she could look out for herself perfectly fine. Clearly Aten thought differently, as he barged onto the stranger. Who didn’t seem to be impressed by the champagne stallion at all. She watched them silently, with mild interest, following the stranger’s red gaze to Aten to see how he would react.

Heda came next. They all stood tense, ready to strike, but somehow her sister’s arrival relaxed her a bit. Even in this strange situation she offers the gold and navy blue mare a smile. ”He’s all yours” she answers, stepping back to create distance between her and the appaloosa. Jinju settles at Heda’s side, her muzzle brushing across the buckskin’s shoulder. Though her eyes are back on the stranger. It’s not hard to see the change, Heda’s power working on him. All she can do is wait for how he will react, to see if he would really run, or if he would miraculously break free from the spell Heda put him under. If he could, he would probably be the first.
