ORION'S BELT
Seeking something different this time he neared the edge of the Forest. A vast land stretched before him. Rolling hills of drying grasses since the spring rains had long disappeared. He stood silently on the edge of shadows and descending light. Blue orbs scanned for anything of interest. He had not expected to see anything of familiarity here but then there she was. A single figure of solitude in the distance. The fading light glowed upon her silver coat. Much the same as his but far more decorate. His had long faded the tones of dapples. Only one patterned remained, the sign of the Hunter lay across his back. A gift given to him by the stars themselves.
He simply watched her. He did not advance as he had before. Their meeting had ended in a weird way. As if a magical presence had toyed with them, toyed with her. Never having fully figured out the source of it. Maybe it had been him, maybe it had been the other that had joined them. He was unsure so he kept his distance.
As she caught wind of him and looked his way he merely smiled and nodded in greeting. Had she wanted to revisit the past she was capable of doing so on her terms. She may not even remember the brief moments they had shared...
