    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

    I look inside myself
Drifting with no destination in mind, he ebbs and flows like the salty tide of Nerine. Silver gray eyes are occupied with the sights of the spring, ears listening to the sounds of newly nesting birds. The dark stallion finds peace amongst the tall trees and throb of the forest's heartbeat.

The sound of a female voice shakes him awake despite the steady thud-thud of heavy hooves. A nonexistent brow quirks every so slightly as he is suddenly aware that she is not far off from where he slowly paced. Had she been there the entire time? The girl is dark with a shock of light hair. She is pretty and happy by the sound of things. Typically Lior would move off without so much as a nod but by meeting her eyes, he knows he must say something.

"Hello there." The tones are low and growl from the depths of his throat. The stallion does not smile nor express much more than the words from his lips and the curious tilt of his eye as the youth seemed familiar some how. Never had he seen her but he could not quite place how she seemed familiar. "Fair day for a walk." The statement is offered so that awkward silence could not creep in the space between them.
And see my heart is black
