    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

His ears flick to the question asked of him by the appaloosa mare, which is then echoed by the now named mare. Ah, curiosity could spread like wildfire. Dagro shifts his weight again. He knew where he wanted to go - and that was home. The Chamber. It was the only home he knew, the last place he had seen his mother alive, and where his sister had raised him. Granted, he didn’t know anyone else, they kept to themselves. They were young, and wary of others. They played their cards with an air of caution.

So perhaps, it wasn’t truly home. It was all he could remember of Beqanna, before it had been transformed into what it is now. He had searched though, however these unfamiliar paths were akin to that of a labyrinth, around each corner was little sense of familiarity, if any at all. “Well, I’m not even sure if what I’m looking for is even here anymore.” His voice is rather cool and unruffled. He hesitates, though. Wondering if he should even bother with the next question that stirs in his mind. “The Chamber.” he eventually lets the kingdom’s name roll off his tongue. His green eyes shift between the two mares, wondering if either of them knew of it.
